How to Make Pork Tacos
Pork Nutrition
Pork can get a bad rap! Lean pork is actually packed with nutrients and can make a great meal option. I love cooking with pork tenderloin which is quite lean and with pork loin which I trim off the extra fat before cooking with it. Pork is packed with nutrients such as protein, niacin, thiamin, vitamin B6, zinc, riboflavin and more.
Just a 3-ounce serving of pork has 22 grams of protein. I have 3 growing kids that are super active and we often chat about the importance of protein for their bodies. They all love these grilled pork tacos and enjoy eating a variety of recipes using pork. Something that I just learned is that pork tenderloin is as lean as boneless, skinless chicken breast. So it's a great, lean protein option!
I partnered with my friends at Michigan Pork to share this delicious recipe. Last fall, I went on a tour of a Michigan farm and learned all about pig farming which was super interesting! Learn more about pork nutrition here.
