I am a big fan of Lifeway kefir drinks and often purchase them at my local grocery store. I have tried the mango flavors, strawberry and pomegranate. I was recently sent their holiday flavors of kefir.
I often get asked by people what is kefir? Does it taste weird? No! Kefir is a probiotic drink that is very similar to yogurt. The best way that I can describe it is like a more liquid yogurt. The flavors are very similar to yogurt as well. Probiotics are the healthy bacteria that you gut needs. Probiotics can aide in digestion and are great for people who have been on antibiotics.
I really like this product and buy it about monthly. The new flavors that I was sent are the cranberry crème brulee and pumpkin spice.
First, I tried the cranberry crème brulee kefir. It was very tasty. It has a light cranberry flavor. One cup has 140 calories. This is good drunk for breakfast or a snack throughout the day.
The pumpkin spice is great as well. It is thicker than the other flavors of kefir from Lifeway. The pumpkin spice scent is not overpowering which I love. It gives you a bit of the fall, holiday flavor in a healthier way than many other pumpkin products.
This brand of kefir can be found at most local stores (I buy mine at Kroger and Meijer).
