Amanda Hernandez, MA, RD

Over the weekend, I added a couple of important letters to my name: MA. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master's of Arts in Family and Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Dietetics.

I am so glad to be done and to add these credentials to my name. I have learned a lot in my Master's program including two 29 page research papers on vitamin D deficiency and the effectiveness of appetite stimulants on the elderly.

Below are some of the pictures from my special day. My family got up bright and early to celebrate my graduation with me. We celebrated at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Kalamazoo afterwards.

Thanks for checking out my pictures from this special day!

  1. Hi Amanda,

    Several things- Congratulations!
B- I would love to read your 29-page paper on Vitamin D deficiency. My dad has it and we're trying to get his numbers up. He's 80, so slow going, but the effects on him- wow, not good.
C- Your husband is so awesome for rocking a bow tie.
D- Great looking pictures, great family, also- glad you had a beautiful day for graduation!
