1. Teasia Teas I love trying different kinds of teas, especially as the weather cools down. I usually just brew tea with a teabag but have been enjoying these teas from Teasia. They sent me a variety of their k-cups and I have especially been enjoying the jasmine green tea which is always one of my favorites. If I want a cup of decaf tea, I like the rooibos lemongrass tea. These teas brew strongly which is nice if you like a stronger cup of tea. If not, you can always add more water. The roasted oolong is also great. OSO Mattress: Getting the Best Night's Sleep Possible

It has been years since I have purchased a mattress. The first mattress that I ever bought was right after Troy and I got married. We still have this mattress. At the time, I was looking to save money since we barely had an income or savings at this point. Through the years, I have realized that I am not a very good sleeper. It takes me a long time to fall asleep. If I wake up in the night and get up to go the bathroom, it can take up to an hour to fall back asleep, etc. Therefore, I take my sleep very seriously and am often found going to bed early, no matter how lame it may be. When I am not well-rested, I do not feel my best.

How We're Getting Ready for Baby #2

How We're Getting Ready for Baby #2

This post was sponsored by Walmart Baby as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. With Baby #2 on the way, on my mind is everything that I have to get ready. It will be a lot easier getting ready for this baby because we have most of the things that we need. We have the crib, the rocking chair, the bouncer, the rock and play, etc. When I was pregnant with Adalyn, I was overwhelmed because we were starting from scratch and I felt like we had so much to buy/ask for on our registry. This time, there is less that we need but still, there are some things that I have bought/plan on buying to get ready for baby #2 in the beginning of April. If you know me, than you know that I like to get a good deal. I never want to overpay for anything and love couponing, shopping clearances, etc.

Healthier Chicken Salad
September 27, 2016

Healthier Chicken Salad

Healthier Chicken Salad is super easy to make and full of flavor with celery, grapes, pecans and green onion! The dressing is protein rich with Greek yogurt and hummus. Until the last year or so, I was never a big fan of chicken salad. The reason is because I do not like mayonnaise very much. I kind of thought that that was the only way to make it until I realized that there were healthier ways. I love the grapes, celery and nuts in chicken salad and think that it is so good on whole-grain bread, a wrap or a croissant.

Protein Apple Crisp

Protein Apple Crisp

This Healthy Protein Apple Crisp recipe is a lighter, healthier version of your favorite crisp made with whole-wheat flour, oats, less sugar and protein for a satisfying, flavorful dessert! When September 1st hits, America brings out everything apple, pumpkin and squash. I love the fall because a lot of the fruit on my parent's farm is being harvested including peaches, concord grapes, apples and pears. This Protein Apple Crisp is full of flavor and makes the best easy treat!

Our Start with Potty Training

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Procter and Gamble. All opinions are my own. Don't worry, there will not be any gross pictures in this post! Haha. Adalyn just turned two and a month or two ago, we started a bit of potty training. We are nowhere near potty trained right now but I wanted to share our experience so far and most of all, ask for tips for potty training a toddler. It started when Adalyn became interested in us going to the bathroom. I pulled out her princess potty that we had waiting for her for nearly a year. I knew that she may be ready to start learning about the potty because she wanted to see us go to the bathroom and would say "pee pee" and such about going to the bathroom.

Healthy Pregnancy Smoothie

This Healthy Pregnancy Smoothie is packed full of nutrients for moms-to-be including folic acid, calcium, protein, iron and omega-3 fatty acids! It takes two minutes to make and is full of flavor. First of all, thank you everyone so much for the pregnancy congrats! I was blown away with your love and support! We are super excited for baby #2 to be born! As a second time mom-to-be, I am looking forward to meeting my baby. My pregnancy has been going well so far but I have certainly had some the typical pregnancy symptoms: tiredness, mood swings, food aversions, etc. With the food aversions, I have to eat what sounds good at the time which changes daily making it a little hard to meal plan and grocery shop.

Butternut Squash, Kale and Cranberry Rice

Butternut Squash, Kale and Cranberry Rice is simple to make, nutritious and tasty with a homemade apple cider vinaigrette! Typically, I am a little bit behind on the seasonal food trends. By the time I start making anything with pumpkin or butternut squash, fall is nearly over. Not this year! I started developing pumpkin recipes back in July and have a huge list of fall recipes that I must make this year. Fall flavors are so delicious!

6 Healthy Choices to Feel Your Best

I have been compensated by  Sundown Naturals ® and  Pollinate Media Group  for this post as part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sundown Naturals® but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #GoodnessGiveaway #sharethegoodness  http://my-disclosur.es/OBstV As I have been working the nutrition field for over 6 years, my thoughts on nutrition have changed. No longer do I believe in artificial sweeteners (for the most part) or fat-free cheese- yuck! Instead, I focus on eating real food that is full of nutrients. I do not diet, ever. I choose to eat healthy most of the time to feel my best because feeling good is number one to me.

Almond Cashew Butter Banana Bread
September 12, 2016

Almond Cashew Butter Banana Bread

This Almond Cashew Butter Banana Bread is easy to make and is full of nutty and rich flavor. It is  made with whole-wheat flour and is moist and delicious! Banana bread is a classic dish that seems to disappear almost immediately every time that it is made. Everyone loves it from grandmas to moms and dads and even young children. There is something about a piece of fresh baked banana bread that is so delicious, it is hard to just have one piece. This banana bread is made healthier with whole-wheat flour and uses less sugar that many traditional recipes. It uses olive oil instead of butter for a healthier fat option.

1. Sundried Fitness Clothing My husband and I were each sent a shirt from Sundried to try out. I chose the Grivola tee which has a loose fit which is great for walks or just lounging around. It is very soft and dries quickly. For my husband, we chose the dom tee which is more of your typical, fitted workout tee. **Keep reading for a LIVE kombucha and drinking vinegars giveaway!

Fueling for After-School Sports and Play

As a dietitian, I get a lot of questions about what to eat. I could totally skip the questions about "how do I lose X pounds in about 5 minutes" but I love the questions where people are truly looking for sound nutrition advice. This summer, my husband's cousin was asking me about what to eat before her swim meets. She said that if she eats too much, she doesn't feel well when she races. If she eats too little, she doesn't have enough energy to feel strong while competing.

Buffalo Chicken Flatbread Pizza
September 07, 2016

Buffalo Chicken Flatbread Pizza

Buffalo Chicken Flatbread Pizza is easy to make and is full of flavor with spicy buffalo chicken, creamy blue cheese and flavorful green onions! Up until a year or two ago, I was not the biggest buffalo fan. The flavor didn't do much for me and I would have chosen many other flavors instead of buffalo. Well friends, times have changed and I love buffalo flavored anything. Buffalo chicken dip, buffalo chicken soup (which I need to recreate and share the recipe) and homemade buffalo hummus are all regulars in my household.

What to Do, Where to Stay, What to Eat in Ludington, Michigan

What to Do, Where to Stay, What to Eat in Ludington, Michigan

I've heard about Ludington, Michigan for years for their camping and just finally got a chance to visit. We were not really sure what to expect as there was not that much information about what to do in Ludington online. This is my summary of Ludington: gorgeous beaches, amazing nature trails and great for relaxing. Ludington does not have a ton to "do" in the traditional sense of lots of attractions but if you are looking to relax and enjoy nature, Ludington is a good place to go. There were tons of extended families there with grandparents, children, grandchildren, Aunts and Uncles. I think that lots of people got hotel rooms next to each other or rented houses in the area which would be so fun to do with family.

1. Bolthouse Farms Dressings and Juices Finding salad dressings that I like is so difficult for me. I am super picky when it comes to salad dressing which is weird because I like almost all foods. I have found that I enjoy refrigerated dressings a lot more usually. I really love the dressings from Bolthouse Farms for two reasons: they taste great and are actually quite healthy for you. They have much lower calories than traditional dressings and have about 45 calories each.
