Mango Pineapple Smoothie

After a run, I know I need a boost of nutrients to refuel! I made this Mango Pineapple Smoothie for the kids and I one morning after a run and we all loved it. Super simple to make with just 4 ingredients and it comes together in 5 minutes or less. It is sweet and delicious and loaded with protein and fiber. This smoothie makes the perfect snack or breakfast.

Mango Pineapple Smoothie ingredients

Mango Pineapple Smoothie Ingredients

  • Frozen mango
  • Frozen pineapple
  • Plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • Water
  • Ultima Collagen and Electrolytes Mango Pineapple

I kept it simple with the ingredients so that I could whip it up super quickly and so that it would stay a pretty color. Typically I add a bunch of spinach to my smoothie which you could still do if you like. This protein has a whopping 21 grams of protein and makes the perfect breakfast or snack.

Refueling after a run

I've talked about it a few times here before that I rely on Ultima Electrolytes Hydration drink mix after every single run for the last 2 years or so. It changed my life and got rid of headaches I was having after my runs most likely due to dehydration. When I found out that Ultima was coming out with an electrolyte drink with my other favorite ingredient to refuel with: collagen, I was so, so excited! After I drink my Ultima after a run, I shower and then make a coffee with collagen (and eat a big breakfast!). This new drink had my favorite electrolytes and collagen all in one.

Mango Pineapple Collagen Smoothie
Let me tell you about this amazing drink mix. It is called Ultima Beauty Collagen and Electrolytes and comes in mango pineapple and strawberry kiwi flavors. One packet has 9 grams of protein from collagen plus electrolytes and only 35 calories. You are supposed to mix it into 8-12 ounces of water (I always mix it into a lot more water because I like a lighter flavor) and drink up. I had it after my run this morning and thought it was awesome. I am loving this 2-in-1 drink from Ultima!

Why I love collagen: it helps strengthen the skin and support elasticity. It can help reduce wrinkling and roughness in the skin. Collagen can help improve moisture in the skin.

McDonald's Mango Pineapple Smoothie

Mango Pineapple Smoothie for Kids

My kids love to go to McDonald's with grandparents and love the mango pineapple smoothie there. I have tried their smoothie before and it is pretty delicious. One day, I looked up the ingredients on the site and it was pretty much all juice and sugar, no surprise there. The small smoothie only had 1 gram of fiber! I decided to make my own that I knew my kids would love. They thought this was absolutely delicious. Feel free to add in frozen spinach or cauliflower for more nutrients as well.
