I am so excited to share this recipe with you! I thought of it one night as I could not fall asleep and quickly turned on my phone and emailed myself the recipe idea so that I would not forget it come morning. I was thinking about rainbow sherbet for some reason and was thinking that honeydew melon is the color of the green, cantaloupe is the color of the orange and strawberries and bananas are the color of the pink.

I was not sure how this recipe would turn out because I had never made anything like it before. I searched for the recipe on Pinterest and could not find anything similar. So, I decided to try it anyways and see how it turned out.

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cantaloupe, diced and frozen
  • 2 cups honeydew melon, diced and frozen
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ~2 cups of milk

Instructions

1. In a food processor, blend cantaloupe with milk (just enough to get things moving). Transfer to a container and place in freezer.
2. Clean out food processor. Next, blend honeydew with a small amount of milk. Transfer to a container and place in freezer.
3. Clean out food processor. Finally, blend strawberries, banana, protein and milk.
4. In a container, scoop out the three flavors next to each other. Serve immediately or let freeze for 1 hour and serve.

If you let it freeze completely before serving, allow some time to partially thaw as it can be very firm.
