I've written about it before that we love using Huggies diapers for our kids! They are often on sale and get the job done. What more do you need from a diaper? My daughter Adalyn wore Huggies when she was a baby and my son Oliver wears them now. Heck, even Adalyn's teddy bear Lucy gets to wear Huggies diapers when she is playing Mama and puts one on her! We like any of the varieties including HUGGIES® Little Snugglers, HUGGIES® Little Movers Diapers and HUGGIES® Snug and Dry Diapers.

Babies in need is a topic very near to my heart. My kids are literally everything to me and I do everything that I can to make sure that they have everything that they need and some things that they want. Diapers are a basic need and I cannot imagine having to be in the situation of not being able to provide diapers for my kids. Sadly, many people struggle to provide clean, dry diapers for their baby or toddler and that is where Huggies No Baby Unhugged  program and  Meijer comes in.

Huggies No Baby Unhugged program embodies Huggies commitment to ensuring babies get the care they need to thrive. As a part of this program,  for every pack of Huggies diapers purchased in-store at Meijer between October 29-December 23, Huggies donated a day's worth of diapers, up to 400,000 diapers, to the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN) which helps those in need across the US. The Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank is part of the NDBN network and was selected to receive a portion of this donation – a total of 100,000 diapers - to help local Detroit families in need.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the donation event to see this huge donation of diapers made to the National Diaper Bank Network and the Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank and it was so amazing! Prior to this event, I was not sure where the Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank was and was surprised to see that it is only 13 minutes from my home. It is always a little shocking to hear that there are so many in need right in my own area.

I just love my kids so much and can imagine that all parents feel the same. I'm sure that they wish that they could provide for their children better and the No Baby Unhugged Program from Huggies helpsprovide diapers for their little ones.

At the donation event, Meijer and Huggies presented the donation of 100,000 diapers to the Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank to help local families in need of diapers. Ms. V.- the founder of the diaper bank was there sharing her experience about why she runs the diaper bank and it was clear that she is very passionate about helping others in the Metro Detroit area. We also got to meet all of the people who helped make this huge donation happen.

This year was the fifth year of partnership between Meijer and Huggies and together, these organizations have been able to donate  a total of 1 million diapers over this time.

At the Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank, they are currently helping 800 families in need. They are always accepting donations and if you are not able to drop off the donation, they will come pick it up from you. Overall, 400,000 diapers are being donated and $10,000 is being donated to the National Diaper Bank Network thanks to Meijer shoppers! It was a great event and I learned a bunch.
