Easy 3-Ingredient Strawberry Chia Seed Jam

Easy 3-Ingredient Strawberry Chia Seed Jam takes just a few minutes of prep time to make and no stove top is required. It is made with fresh strawberries, chia seeds and honey and is great on toast, oatmeal or on yogurt!

I am a huge fan of homemade jam and this Easy 3-Ingredient Strawberry Chia Seed Jam is no exception! It is super easy to make with only 3-ingredients and no stove top required. This makes the perfect addition to any breakfast or snack and is 100% kid and adult approved.

To make this strawberry chia seed jam, I literally just chopped up fresh strawberries (frozen would work just as well so feel free to swap for frozen strawberries) and microwaved them until super soft. Then, I mashed them with a fork and added in the chia seeds and honey. I let it sit for about an hour while the chia seeds soaked up the liquid and then, it was ready to eat!

The honey is optional in this recipe. I typically think that fresh fruit does not need any sweetener added but this particular batch of strawberries were not as sweet as I wanted for the jam. Feel free to play around with the sweetener and add to taste.

Easy 3-Ingredient Strawberry Chia Seed Jam is awesome on toast with peanut butter for a healthier peanut butter and jelly sandwich or in this yogurt bowl with strawberry Greek yogurt, strawberry chia seed jam, granola, chia seeds and fresh sliced strawberries. It made such a delicious snack and would be great for breakfast too. The kids are going CRAZY over this jam!

Easy 3-Ingredient Strawberry Chia Seed Jam takes just a few minutes of prep time to make and no stove top is required. It is made with fresh strawberries, chia seeds and honey and is great on toast, oatmeal or on yogurt!
Prep Time:  5 minutes Cook time: 5 minutes Total time: 10 mins plus waiting time

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place strawberries in a microwave-safe bowl and cook for 5 minutes until strawberries are soft and a sauce has formed.
  2. Take a fork and gently mash strawberries (or you can blend them if desired). Mix in chia seeds and honey.
  3. Let jam sit until sauce thickens and chia seeds absorb liquid.
  4. Eat on toast, on yogurt, oatmeal, etc.
