Tis' the season for holiday drinks! This healthy peppermint mocha takes 5 minutes or less to make and is delicious! During the holidays, I love to feel the holiday spirit daily and making this healthy seasonal coffee is the perfect way to enjoy the season. 


Peppermint Mocha

Healthy Peppermint Mocha Ingredients

  • Death Wish Coffee
  • Peppermint extract
  • Cocoa powder
  • Sugar (or alternative sweetener of choice)
  • 2% milk
  • No-sugar added whipped cream
  • Crushed peppermint like candy canes
  • Shaved chocolate

Skinny Peppermint Mocha
Feel free to make this drink sugar free except for the toppings by using an alternative sweetener if you like. I like using a strong coffee for this recipe so the coffee flavor is not drowned out by the peppermint and cocoa powder. The coffee from Death Wish Coffee is delicious! It is bold and flavorful and makes the best addition to this drink.

How to Make a Peppermint Mocha

First, brew your coffee. Pour Death Wish Coffee coffee into a mug and whisk in peppermint extract, cocoa powder, sugar and milk. If you like, you can use a frother to add foam to the drink. Top with whipped cream, crushed peppermint and shaved chocolate. To shave the chocolate, you can use a grater or knife.

I can see my family enjoying these on Christmas morning! This year especially for some reason, it helps me to feel the Christmas spirit often and this is a fun tiny way to do it.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Death Wish Coffee
  • 2-4 drops peppermint extract
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2-3 teaspoons sugar or alternative sweetener of choice (if desired)
  • Milk to taste (2% milk works great)
  • Toppings
  • 2 tablespoons no-sugar added whipped cream
  • 1 teaspoon dark chocolate shavings
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed peppermint

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Pour hot coffee into a large mug and whisk in peppermint extract, cocoa powder, sweetener and milk until cocoa powder is mixed in well.
    2. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and crushed peppermint.
    **To shave chocolate, you can use a grater or a knife. 
    Enjoy!
