Raspberries and Cream Overnight Oats

There are so many different aspects of health. Physical health, spiritual, mental, social, etc. When I eat nutritious foods and exercise, I definitely notice a huge difference in the way that I feel, especially mentally. I don't really do new year's resolutions but one thing I am going to make as a goal is to keep up with gym classes 3 days a week. I am loving strength training which has always been hard for me to commit to but since we got our gym membership at the end of August, I have committed and truly love it.

Eat Smart Scale

While I don't believe in weighing yourself daily, it can help to keep you accountable to weigh yourself maybe once a week or so. I love the Eat Smart Precision Body Scale which helps with one part of health. It is also a composition digital body fat scale, and can figure out your BMI. By focusing on all aspects of your health including getting plenty of sleep, eating nutritious foods, drinking lots of water, exercising, etc. you can feel and look your best.

Raspberry Chocolate Overnight Oats

Raspberry Overnight Oats Ingredients

  • Oats- old fashioned works best
  • Milk of choice- I like 2%
  • Plain Greek yogurt (or vanilla or raspberry)
  • Fresh or frozen raspberries- I like mashing them to disperse the flavor throughout the oats
  • Chia seeds
  • Optional: vanilla protein powder- I love this for a boost of protein to keep me full throughout the morning
  • Optional: sweetener to taste such as honey or maple syrup
  • Toppings: raspberries, shaved chocolate, almonds

How to Make Raspberry Overnight Oats

Firs mix, all of your ingredients together for overnight oats in a large bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid. I like making it all in one bowl and then when they are mixed up, I like to transfer to individual mason jars if you're taking them on the go. Let the oats sit in fridge overnight or for at least two hours to soak up the liquid and soften the oats. Before eating, top overnight oats with choice of toppings like raspberries, shaved chocolate and almonds.
