Healthy Broccoli Salad

Healthy Broccoli Salad

Healthy Broccoli Salad is made lighter with a creamy Greek yogurt dressing, Braeburn apples, cheddar cheese, grapes, walnuts and dried cranberries. A couple of years ago, I became a big fan of broccoli salad. It was often served at picnics growing up but I wasn't really a fan of it until I learned how to make it my own way. I am not a fan of super sweet broccoli salad and prefer using mostly Greek yogurt for creaminess. I put together this healthier broccoli salad with Greek yogurt and a bunch of fun fruit, cheese and nuts for the perfect side dish for any meal.

Mexican Sardine Salad Stuffed Avocados

Mexican Sardine Salad Stuffed Avocados features a sardine salad made with tomatoes, bell peppers, corn and green onion with a tangy vinaigrette stuffed in a ripe avocado for an easy, nutritious meal! This is a new topic for The Nutritionist Reviews: sardines! Now hear me out! Sardines are a great source of nutrients which I will get into in a bit and they are be quite versatile like tuna or salmon. I made this fun dish of Mexican Sardine Salad Stuffed Avocados with sardines of course but you can also use tuna or salmon if you prefer. I like sardines mashed or chopped best and if you like tuna, you will probably like sardines. They taste very similar, especially the variety that I used. I grew up eating not a ton of seafood but we did eat canned tuna at my grandma's house often. As I get older, I am trying to incorporate more seafood into my diet for the health benefits.

1. Bolthouse Farms Beverages You guys know that I am obsessed with many of the Bolthouse Farms products. Especially the salad dressings, lemonade and the pea protein milk. I have a new product that I'm loving that I wanted to share with you: the B Balanced Smoothies and B Strong Protein drinks. My favorite are the smoothies and I'm really loving the tropical and strawberry-banana flavors. They have about 140 calories for the whole container and even have 3 grams of fiber. They are made with 75% fruit juice but are lower in calories and sugar. I love this as I try to limit how much sugar the kids and I have.  My husband isn't the biggest fruit fan and I sent him to work with the strawberry-banana flavor and he really liked it so that's saying a lot. Also, he just ran his first half-marathon and was feeling funny a few hours afterwards and needed something to refresh him so he had another smoothie and it helped do the trick. I really enjoy these! **Keep readi

Oliver is 1 Year Old!

Oliver is 1 Year Old!

What??? How is my baby 1? I can't believe it. I'm still going to call him a baby- you can't stop me! This year has gone by so fast yet in a way, I can't remember life without Oliver. Oliver is the easiest baby and for that, Troy and I are so thankful. He has always loved to sleep, slept through the night at 6 weeks old, is very happy and has never been too fussy. It has been a dream raising my little guy so far. Read Oliver's birth story here. On the negative side, this guy has made us very worried with different things through the last year with concerns such as that the doctors thought he may be deaf (he can hear completely fine) and his weight gain issues. It's crazy how different two kids can be with different things.
