How to Get Calcium in your Diet During Pregnancy

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Viactiv Calcium Soft Chews . All opinions are 100% mine. How to Get Calcium in your Diet During Pregnancy including what foods to eat including recipe ideas and what supplements to take that taste great! Eating and drinking enough calcium during pregnancy is super important for helping to build teeth, bones, muscles and nerves for baby. It also helps to build a healthy heart. During pregnancy, a mom needs to eat enough calcium in her diet, otherwise, the calcium will be pulled from her bones to give it to baby. This can be harmful to mom later on in life causing osteoporosis. I want to share with you some of my favorite ways to get calcium in your diet during pregnancy. Last summer when I was pregnant with Lily! Pregnant women should aim for 1,300 mg of calcium per day. This is the equivalent to about three servings of dairy products per day. Things I've Learned From Breastfeeding 3 Kids

Things I've Learned From Breastfeeding 3 Kids

Things that I have learned after 4 total years of breastfeeding 3 kids, including how to get more sleep for mom and baby, how to lower stress, and how to increase milk supply! I am about 4 years into my breastfeeding journey between my three kids- 18 months for my first, 17 months for my second and 10 months so far for my third. Before I had my first child, I did not know what to expect except but I was determined to give breastfeeding a shot. I researched everything I could about breastfeeding and knew about the nutritional benefits and wanted to give it a try.  It went well, and by the time I had my third baby, I had way less doubts about nursing a baby and knew that I could do it again. Today, I wanted to share some things that I've learned along the way about breastfeeding that I thought may help another mom.

Lily's 9 Month Update

Lily Virginia is 9 months old and I have so many great updates to share! What is the biggest thing this month for us (and the entire world): social distancing and quarantine. This will be a month to remember forever. We pretty much haven't left the house in a month aside from walks and have enjoyed lots of family time. After sharing that Lily has had quite a bit of medical concerns: plagiocephaly, torticollis, blocked tear duct, trouble gaining weight, poor appetite for solids, etc. etc., everything is now going literally PERFECT! All health concerns are resolved and Lily is doing amazing. I truly believe that God doesn't give you more than you can handle and during this pandemic, I honestly do not think that we could mentally handle any additional scares. Thank you God!

Homeschool Schedule for Work from Home Parents

Sample homeschool schedule for work from home parents for a kindergartner, preschooler and baby. Lots of time for free play, outdoor time, some screen time and art time along with reading, writing and math. Playing dress-up can definitely be part of homeschool! I have struggled with putting together a schedule that works for my family to use during this time of homeschooling. Here is my list of activities to do with your kids from home that I shared last week. We have already adjusted our schedule quite a bit for what works from our family and I'm sure, we will continue to adjust as needed. Troy is a teacher that is teaching online from home. I blog full-time and am trying to fit it in with 3 young kids at home (ages 5 1/2, almost 3 and 8 months old). We are doing this schedule Monday-Friday. On the weekend, we are definitely going to need a much deserved break!! This schedule is what is working for us at this time. Feel free to copy and adjust as needed.

What to Pack in a Minimalist Diaper Bag

What to Pack in a Minimalist Diaper Bag  for baby including only the essentials for a day out to keep things simple! This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Huggies®. We just had our third baby almost 2 months ago and have gotten out of the house almost every single day since she was born. It is the summertime and we love going on family adventures to outdoor concerts, the zoo, pools, splash pads and more. I always start with a bunch of pureed vegetables and oatmeal and go from there. Today, I want to share some of the first foods to feed a baby that I recommend.
